Globally recognized as the "queen of Latin pop", Thalia , launches her long-awaited album Thalía's Mixtape with Sony Music Latin and premieres the docu-series Thalía's Mixtape: El Soundtrack De Mi Vida with Paramount+ . In this project, the artist works as the creator and executive producer of this concept, which seeks to transport the whole family on a musical journey through time. On this journey, we will discover the classics of rock in Spanish, from the 80s and 90s, which not only marked a generation, but also marked the Latin music industry we know today.
Produced by Latin GRAMMY® winners Aureo Baqueiro and Rafael Arcaute, Thalía's Mixtape the album features 11 songs that pay homage to the golden age of rock in Spanish, and features the collaboration of musical legends such as: David Summers (Hombres G), Aterciopelados, and Rocco (La Maldita Vecindad). This production is also the perfect bridge to unite generations in a musical journey that goes hand in hand with new talents such as: Kenia Os, Bruses, León Leiden, and Ben Carrillo. The song, Devuélveme a Mi Chica with David Summers and this album are now available on all digital music platforms.
"This has been my most personal project, four years ago the idea and concept of the mixtape of my life was born in my mind and in my heart. This album and the docuseries cover the songs that influenced my path and forged my destiny. I share with my lifelong idols, the artists behind these legendary songs that marked entire generations with their music. In this project and as an absolute fan of these great artists, I have the honor of performing these musical gems with them. It is an incomparable gift".
From executive producers Tommy Mottola, Thalía Sodi, Ntertain co-founder Lex Borrero, along with MTV Entertainment Studios' Bruce Gilmer and Amanda Culkowski, Thalía's Mixtape: El Soundtrack De Mi Vida is a three-episode docuseries that combines interviews and modern interpretations of musical classics and a stage in the history of music in Spanish. This production also has the special participation of Charly Alberti (Soda Stereo).
"This has been a labor of love for Thalía," says executive producer Tommy Mottola, "reliving the most popular music and songs from her teenage years, singing those tracks alongside the original artists, and being able to document it visually is a dream come true."
Additional to the release of this new musical work; The international singer, actress and businesswoman will continue adding milestones to her career and will be recognized by Billboard magazine at the "Mujeres Latinas en la Música" (Latin Women In Music) gala, which seeks to pay tribute to Latina artists, executives and creatives who actively work for change positive, inclusion and gender parity in the music industry.
