Hello Thalía, welcome to L'Officiel India; we all know about your title of "Queen of Latin Pop", but we want to know more about your childhood. Can you tell us how was it like?
My childhood was fantastic. I was born in a family of five sisters, my father passed away when I was six years old, so we immediately became a matriarchy. Especially if we take into consideration that my mom and my grandmother raised us to be strong women, with an opinion and confidence about ourselves. I was born in Mexico City and my childhood was always surrounded by loving music and the colours of our neighbourhood. It was very diverse and folkloric, where you were able to listen to all kinds of music and opinions. I had a childhood completely different compared to the one my kids are living now. I was able to go out and ride the bike in the neighbourhood, there were no smartphones or tablets, and everyone had to entertain themselves with simple things like playing with; tree branches, rocks, mud, climbing trees, or hide and seek. Those are memories I now cherish with all my heart.

When you started your career as an artist, which of your songs will you say were the game changer in your career, and how did you handle fame back then in the beginning?
I think that the best answer to this question would be to say that there is more than one song that impacted my career. When I released my first album, the first single "Un Pacto Entre Los Dos", was extremely controversial during that time because of the sexual lyrics. It even got banned on most of the radio stations, but the young people back then identified themselves with this rebellious song, and organically they started to support my music and my career by buying the album and calling the T.V. and radio stations requesting the song. Another very important song in my career must be, "Amor a la Mexicana", this song took me to the top of music charts internationally. Following that song that allowed me to do the crossover to the English market was, "I Want You", which reached the top of Billboard Charts in the U.S.

If you were given a chance to be stranded on an island for several days, who would it be with, and how would you like it to be?
Definitely with my family, and if I have to choose how it would be. I would choose bungalows over the sea like the ones in Bora bora, with Michelin star chefs, all the water attractions like Jet Skis, sailboats, scuba diving and most importantly with a doctor as well just to be cautious.

Once you're famous, there must be crazy fan encounters. Can you please enlighten us with a particular story?
My fans are out of this world! And I tell you this sincerely. They are spectacular and we share the same funny and irreverent life vision. Among my fan base, there is a very special group that has been with me since the first day I started, it's amazing to see how we have grown together from being kids to now being professionals like lawyers, entrepreneurs, teachers, and graphic designers, etc. On the other hand, I also have a most recent group of fans that learned about me through social media, so they know what I do as a YouTuber or Tik Toker, and they get surprised when they learn that I'm also an actress, singer, and businesswoman. It is amazing to have such a passionate group of fans, they have been supporting me and my career thru every stage, in the good moments and the bad ones as well, and not only with my music or acting, they also become consumers of my products, for example with the Thalía Sodi collection I see them on social media with the shoes, jewellery, makeup and hairlines or even the home products, It's unbelievable!

You look gorgeous in everything you wear; what's your fitness secret, and do you think fitness plays a vital role in your life?
I've always been a very active person, I like to exercise and overall, I love to train with weights, and do Pilates or yoga. To motivate me, I always play some music so I can do it till I sweat. I also think it is very important to motivate your family and exercise together, sometimes I go out to run with my kids and dogs. But don't forget that you also need to have a healthy diet, I eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, and protein. My only addiction is the expresso with a sip of almond milk. In general, I take care of myself just to be as healthy as possible. For over 14 years I've been living with Lyme Disease, which attacks the immune system. It takes all your strength and energy, affecting your quality of life and making you feel like a rag doll. I don't do this for vanity, I do it as a necessity to feel healthy and full of energy.

Talking about acting, you are an outstanding actor too. What inspired you to go in that direction, and how was your experience different from the singing side of entertainment?
Acting is one of my passions because it allows me to get into the psyche of other human beings and see life from their point of view. I´ve been fortunate enough to have roles that resonated in the heart of millions around the globe, and it is an amazing feeling to know that all of these characters are still alive thru different generations, a lot of young people are watching them on streaming services. I also feel that whenever I´m singing, I´m also acting and playing different roles with each song. That´s why I enjoy doing live performances so much, I can go from someone sweet and fragile in one song to someone strong and outrageous in the following one.

We all know that you are a multi-talented mogul; what's one of your hidden talents that not many of us know?
I love to practice archery, and I think I´m good at it. I enjoy it tremendously and it´s very funny because I've become friends with Olympians that have practised it for a long time and they encourage me by saying that I'm so precise that I could have gone to the Olympics and competed with them. You never know, maybe you will see me competing professionally someday in the future. I also enjoy art a lot, I love to paint and do digital art as well, this has been a constant in my life since I was a little kid, my mom used to love to paint and make sculptures and because of her, I enjoy it too.

Are there any projects you are working on that we don't know about? Please tell us about them.
Yes, of course, there are a lot of projects and in fact, they are all happening at the same time! Some of them I have been preparing for years, others are new ideas that have come to my mind and we are working on them to make them a reality. Some projects have to do with music, others with entertainment. But the point is that the important thing is to continue creating, dreaming big and this is something that I tell all the women who follow me to look at me as that example of overcoming perseverance, discipline and strength that has been able to make their dreams come true. And as I always say if I could do it, they will also be able to reach theirs. It is important that even if they tell you that they do not believe in your ideas or proposals, keep looking for someone who does believe in you and your project and don't give up!

Our readers were going haywire to have you on board. What message do you want to give to people who aspire to become like you?
First and foremost, I want to say that it is a pleasure for me to be on the cover and be part of the L'Officiel India family. Secondly, always remember to live in your present. We have to break all the barriers so we can expand our vision of life. Begin by loving yourself and committing to being your best friend, saying nice things to you, and loving yourself for who you are. Take time to breathe and take some ME time. Look for a time during your day-to-day just to get some peace and tranquillity, to smile, or just to feel loved. Be grateful, and try to be the person you would have loved to have as an example when you were 13 years old.
