Thalía is included in Quién magazine's "31 Mujeres que amamos" (31 Women We Love) on their May 2021 issue for the celebration of Mother's Day.

Here there are activists, writers, singers, entrepreneurs, businesswomen, chefs, content creators, architects, artists... a diversity of voices that, together, speak to us of the revealing moment we are living. We have found that listening to each other is powerful. We not only learn from and with the stories of others, we are also inspired by their achievements and conquests and give us hope and the certainty that the possibilities exist. Plurality, character, and new narratives fill us with longing. We love these women and today, with this special list, we celebrate all the ways of being a woman.

THALÍA
Singer
(Words) By Tommy Mottola, husband and producer

When I hear the name "Thalia", the first thing that comes to mind is the image of an angel. The first time I saw her, she was walking down the stairs, into a restaurant in New York City, dressed in a long white coat, and her hair was long and flowing, wavy. I was sitting at a table in the corner, waiting to meet her for the first time. When I saw her coming down those steps, I said to myself, "God, you finally sent me an angel."

What I admire most about her is her sense of humor, her ability to wake up with a cute smile every day and say "Good morning, my love", and her light, which shines so bright from the moment she opens her eyes every morning.

Thalia's influence in the entertainment industry I define as follows: she is a great representative of her beloved Mexico and her Latin roots. As an iconic figure of her culture and her people, she has crossed borders and conquered the world with her soap operas, first at the beginning of her career, and then with her music, which has led her to reach larger audiences and even further afield. Her halo effect has spilled over into her life as a businesswoman and as a mother, and it's amazing how, in addition to how busy she is with her professional life, she always finds time to do the things she loves in her personal life. She has an unstoppable creative mind.

As a mother and wife, Thalia is flawless. There is no better mom than her! She is the most dedicated partner and mom she could have imagined. Our children adore her much more than they love me! And here, between you and me, sometimes I even get a little jealous when I see that they are so connected to her and love her so much. I would like a bigger piece of that love that they give her, but she makes me happy that our children are like that. She is a perfect mother and an extremely dedicated wife. I have been blessed with the best and most compatible partner that God could put in my path, after so long, for the rest of our lives and for all eternity.

When I think of her songs, I have my favorite... Entre El Mar y Una Estrella. I love how her voice sounds while she sings it. It is one of those very special songs that makes an impact, and I am happy that it is part of her career and our life.

Thalia is an inspiration and role model for women, because she represents the empowerment of women today. Growing up in Mexico, she and her mother had to fight hard to achieve her goals. It was very difficult for them, and that prompted them to learn to rise up and overcome obstacles through the development of their strengths. And speaking of empowerment, her mother, Yolanda Miranda, has always been a great example, a leading woman who was in charge of her family and her business, demonstrating strength and perseverance in everything she set out to do. What they went through together gave Thalia a great sense of empowerment, well deserved from her, which has led her to rank very high and to successfully represent Latina women globally.

My wife has changed my life in every way. Thanks to her I have a much more positive outlook and I am forced to see life in a brighter way every day, whether I like it or not. This has been fantastic for me because, as a New Yorker born in the Bronx, I was always more negative, I saw everything darker. Thalia is very optimistic and brought light into my life. I looked at life in a pessimistic way and she managed to change that completely. Today, due to her influence, I am happier and a better person.

To conclude, undoubtedly, as a Latina and a representative of women's empowerment, Thalia is a global superstar that resonates in all markets. She is authentic and iconic in the Latin world. She is the most compelling artist to pursue a career from childhood to stardom, proving that hard work can go a long way. I think that the most important thing that Thalia represents, more than other artists, is that she is authentic, real and captivating. There are many celebrities, but Thalia is a global superstar who has always been true to herself and keeps her feet on the ground. I think being so transparent and genuine is what has made her followers love her so much.
