In music, Thalía moves joyfully at a dizzying pace and constantly surprises her fans; In personal life, the Mexican star has an emotional stability next to her husband, Tommy Mottola, with whom she is about to celebrate 20 years of marriage!
The Mexican-style love did silence her mouths, because, contrary to what some predicted, the singer of La Luz has created a bond of love and complicity with the father of her children: Sabrina Sakaë and Matthew Alejandro.
"The truth is that always in my life I have arguments, myths and stories in my environment, so for years I stopped paying attention to gossip."
"I only know that since I met him until today we have created a beautiful life together and each day that passes is a new adventure hand in hand," said Thalía.
And it is that their luxurious wedding, held at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York on December 2, 2000, brought together stars such as the late Michael Jackson, Robert De Niro, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria and Emilio Estefan and Marc Anthony, as well as Verónica Castro and Carmen Salinas.
Months into two decades since that night, how do you plan to celebrate this anniversary?
"I had not thought about that! Thank you, thank you for reminding me, ha ha ha! What an excitement you just gave me! Already 20 years. My God, what an impact," she expressed excitedly.
"I don't know if we will have a plan to celebrate with everything that is happening, but if we can be relax and alone somewhere enjoying nature, that's what we will have.
Aware of the current health crisis, she indicated that there will be no celebration with guests.
"More than anything we want to be together with them and celebrate like this, relax and valuing the fruits of this love," she said.
In these two decades they have created a complicity and the small details make their union stronger.
"I am happy with a caress, with a smile, with a wink, with a rose on my pillow, with a cup of tea prepared as I like it as a surprise. Those are the things that make me fall in love."
And Thalía made 'the light' which made her fans dance on TikTok with her new single, La Luz, which she sings in duet with Myke Towers and in which she is rapping again.
"And that is what it is about, that despite the uncertainty and now not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with what we are living, the music of our hearts, our hopes and our faith will never stop," she explained.
Another reason for joy for the former Timbiriche member is the vinyl edition of her album Primera Fila 10 years after its release, an album that returned the passion and adoration she had always felt for music, she assured.
"It amuses me to hear that they are surprised to discover me rapping when one of my greatest successes is the rap I wrote for Arrasando. I remember when Emilio Estefan gave it to me, ideas flew through my head and I sat in the studio and I started getting them out through a rap.
"And the best thing is that if you listen to the lyrics of Arrasando, now it is more current than ever. And I do feel that somehow when you rap you can put more content into the lyrics of the song."
Thalía loves having the versatility of being able to sing anything from a ballad to a rap.
