"I am like everyone else, developing new strategies and new tools to deal with this situation that generates a lot of anxiety," acknowledged the actress.

Miami, FL. - New music for adults and children, new cosmetic products, clothing and accessories and a campaign with the United Nations to promote mental health are some of the initiatives that the tireless Thalía has had in hand during a quarantine that has challenged her from every point of view.

"I am like everyone else, developing new strategies and new tools to deal with this situation that generates a lot of anxiety," the Mexican artist and businesswoman acknowledged in an interview with Efe.

"The solution has been to focus on sharing with those around me what amuses me, what I like, what gives me light," she revealed, underlining that this has been her life's focus for years and the basis on which she has built her career once she reached professional maturity.

"For me, there is nothing more important than generating a moment of happiness and peace. To give light," she stressed.

That was the reason that led her to choose the song called precisely La Luz ("The Light"), a collaboration with Myke Towers and produced by Tainy, for this stage of the quarantine.

"I chose him because he moves in a wonderful way along that line between the sexy and the sensual, the inappropriate and the correct," explained Thalía, detailing what made her choose the emerging Puerto Rican artist as a partner on this song.

Also, "I love the way Myke structures her verses. She has a way of working that I like," she added.

For children and mothers
While La Luz is a song to create an escape space for adults, Thalía also released her album Viva Kids Vol. 2, which, thanks to the alliance made with the international multiplatform Discovery Kids, also offers exclusive content from the album such as games, stories and music videos.

"I decided to release the second Viva Kids now thinking about mothers, fathers, people who take care of children in this confinement, in which, at times, we have all gone a little crazy," said the artist.

Thalía speaks with knowledge of the facts. The artist's two children, Sabrina and Matthew, ages 12 and 9, respectively, finished school virtually last school year, and have already started the new one.

"We are all facing new challenges, from seeing why the printer does not work, why the Zoom 'link' does not open, what the tasks are like. Meanwhile, many of us continue working, keeping appointments. My goal is to entertain and support with my work," she stressed.

A very special 49
Thalía turned 49 on August 26 and celebrated them with the greatest joy and without the slightest concern about her age.

Being into one of the Latin stars of the social platform TikTok and with the same coolness and freshness that fell in love with millions of people around the planet with her iconic soap operas, the artist assured that she has lived her life "without thinking about numbers" and even the weight on the scale goes unnoticed.

"I live day by day and if things get complicated, I go hour by hour. It is something that people who deal with anxiety learn," the singer confessed.

"The past gives you depression, the future anxiety, so you have to focus on the present. That's why I am not worried about the calendar, beyond being aware of what I have to do or where I have to be at a certain moment," she added.

It is a zen vision of life that, together with its joy of living, keeps the 16.6 million followers on Instagram and 4.9 million on TikTok hypnotized.

"I wake up in the morning wondering that we have life, that the family is fine, I appreciate it," she said.

Her attitude and the popularity that has not left her since she was a young girl and loves to sang as part of the band Timbiriche, make her ideal to lead an initiative that she prepares with UNICEF focused on the issue of mental health.

"We have everything almost ready," announced Thalía, who admitted that she is eager to launch it because "it is essential that we all have the tools so that bad times do not turn into something else.
