MIAMI (April 30, 2020) – Trumpets, guitarrón, accordion, five-stringed vihuelas and guitars join the iconic voices of Río Roma and Thalía for the mariachi version of their single Lo Siento Mucho. This musical accompaniment is perfect for all the broken-hearted listeners who love singing along to the song's very Mexican lyrical line of "se acabó... se te murió tu pendeja".

With this new version, the brother duo Río Roma again shows that it's in a very prolific phase of its career. Other recent releases by Río Roma include a duet with the legendary Argentine singer-songwriter Leo Dan on the second volume of his tribute album, and a new track titled El Mundo No Se Va a Acabar.

They have also remained active on social media during the quarantine.

José Luis Roma notes that this song's emotional and theatrical spirit make it perfect for a ranchera version with Thalía: "We have always held our Mexican music in high esteem and enjoy it immensely. We grew up singing mariachi, so we could tell that this song has the perfect fierce energy for a ranchera version."

This isn't the first time and Raúl and José Luis Roma have donned the traditional traje de charro. They have also released acclaimed mariachi versions of their songs Por Eso Te Amo and their classic Todavía No Te Olvido, featuring Carlos Rivera.

Lo Siento Mucho was written by the duo with the renowned producer Áureo Baqueiro, with whom José Luis, who is known as "El Autor del Amor", also collaborated on Alejandro Fernández’s latest hit Caballero.

José Luis notes that Thalía is on board with the new version as well. "Thalía loved the idea and the finished recording. Honestly, I now enjoy the mariachi version so much that I don’t know which mix I prefer."

A lyric video of this version is available on the Río Roma YouTube channel, showing that Lo Siento Mucho is a potent song that works just as well with mariachi backing as it does with pop arrangements. Now we can enjoy this recording that celebrates Mexican culture at a time when unity and fortitude are key.

Río Roma appears on the all-star charity song Resistiré, along with such prominent artists as Camila, Leonel García, Ha*Ash, Aida Cuevas and Arath Herce. All monies earned by this track are being donated to the COVID-19 temporary hospital, located at the Centro Citibanamex convention center in Mexico City.
