Thalía has been named Cyberambassador of "Somos UNICEF" because of her commitment to children in Mexico
The singer and actress invited people interested in contributing to improving the lives of children and adolescents in Mexico to join the #SomosUNICEF campaign www.somosunicef.mx.
The singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman and philanthropist, Thalía, received a recognition as Cyberambassador of Somos UNICEF from Isabel Crowley, UNICEF Representative in Mexico, whom she met in New York on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Thalía has been conducting various activities for children and adolescents in their participation in the campaign of "El Bullying no es un juego (Bullying is not a game)" together with the actress and host Yolanda Andrade, who also recently was appointed as Cyberambassador of Somos UNICEF platform (https://somosunicef.mx), an online community for people committed to children.
"I always worry for the welfare of children in my country and now with this appointment I know I can contribute more to join forces with UNICEF", said UNICEF's Cyberambassador to us who said proudly that she take pride in their distinction with all social networks and digital platforms. "I invite you to join Somos UNICEF and be part of a great movement so that together we build a better present for the kids," Thalía said.
Elizabeth Crowley notes that for the promotion and defense of the rights of children and youth the commitment of celebrities like Thalía really makes a difference because "they can use their talent and fame to promote various activities for children and teens and awareness to a wide audience about their situation and the implementation of their rights."
