Her new single has the collaboration with Gente de Zona that is part of her album Valiente that will be released on November 9
Thalía has gone from being part of a program like Juguemos a cantar to being a member of one of the most popular Mexican bands of all time, like Timbiriche. She acted and starred in a trilogy of soap operas that became popular on national television (María Mercedes, Marimar and María la del Barrio). Then she started a business career and established herself as one of the most popular Latin singers with the hits Arrasando or Amor a la mexicana. These have been moments so diverse that even she is surprised to remember: "If I am doing a dissection of my career, it is as if they were different lives in one, I believe that each moment is spectacular, each moment involves a chapter of the volume of your life," says the singer during a telephone interview with Organización Editorial Mexicana (OEM).
Now the singer is writing a new chapter in her artistic history with the premiere of Lento, a collaboration she made with the Cuban duet Gente de Zona. A musical combination that defines as "very powerful, full of joy, happiness, partying." And with a video, directed by Santiago Salviche and Pedro Vázquez, with a rather romantic plot.
"It's a love story between an artist and her bodyguard, but obviously in the festive atmosphere of Miami and with Gente de Zona."
Lento is the second single from her new album Valiente that will go on sale on November 9 and whose cover she shared through her Instagram account.
"Obviously comes the irreverent, naughty, flirty and sensual side of Thalía. But also the romantic side that they ask so much of me; a lot of ballads, of songs that are of lack of love and disenchantment. There comes that duality of mine, unmissable in my discography."
For Thalía, Lento is a complement to the success she has achieved with No Me Acuerdo, where she collaborates with Natti Natasha, and that has already exceeded 400 million views on YouTube.
This song was the breakthrough in what comes from the album. The public has responded and made this song a success, it continues to make it streaming everywhere. There are territories where they are just discovering it and growing like a foam.
Thanks to the success of this song and the unexpected phenomenon that has caused her #ThalíaChallenge, the singer says she's living one of the best moments of her career and her life. "It is a moment in which I am happy, full, free, sure of who I am, grateful in every moment with life. And that's how we are, enjoying every second."
She have more than 35 years of experience, and for the singer of A quién le importa, this is a step that allows her to stand firm in this industry, in which she wants to stay for a long time "making a lot of music, singing, composing. Also with my business world that I love and that makes me fantastic because it is another extension of creativity."
And she does not even rule out returning to acting soon. "As soon as I find an interesting proposal, something that really catches my attention to return, of course I would love to consider it," she explains.
